Work record- developmental shoot

What I actually achieved...

For this shoot I adapted my idea, as the original idea that I intended to do was not practical
enough to work. Because of this reason, I felt that I needed to improve on my studio work
so decided to practice this by basing a studio shoot around fear. I am pleased with the
outcome of this shoot, and I had a couple of ideas to join several photos together so the
model gradually moved along. The outcome of this idea was one of my favourites from the
shoot, which I will attach below as photo (1). Overall I am happy to have done this shoot
as I think that it has helped me improve my skills as well as develop my idea of fear further.
Although the shoot is not what I had originally planned, I am pleased with the selection of
photos that I have taken and I believe that this shoot has benefited me.

1)

I am pleased with how this photo has turned out, as I think the repetition in this photo has worked well. This was four separate photos that I joined together using PhotoShop, and I think that the compositions of these four photos work well together as the models positioning is gradually disappearing from the frame. I also like the lighting in this photo, and the element of the hoody gives the impression of hiding from something which in this instance is a fear. However, I think that I need to think in the studio more thoroughly beforehand so that I can be sure that the photos will all fit together and work as one as it was a little tricky getting the photos to line up.

Although this is similar to the last photo, I like the composition created in this photo and the concept of hiding behind hands usually indicates a sign of fear more than the previous above. I also like the range of colours in this photo as in the centre there are warm colours and I think that this works best, as for example if it was in black and white it would not look as effective. I like the simplicity of this photo, as I decided on a central composition so that the subject of this photo stood out, and I think that the dark background also helped this. This is my second favourite photo from this shoot.
