Fear Developmental Shoot (one)

14th November 2012- Work Record

What I actually achieved...

For my shoot on Wednesday I wanted to form the basis around the subject of fear, as I think that this is quite an interesting and broad subject that I could develop further into I am pleased with this shoot, as beforehand I wasn't sure if my idea would work effectively. However, I am happy with the concept of my ideas and I am excited to develop my idea further as my next shoot I am planning I am excited to try out and experiment with. I had an idea to collage these pictures together using PhotoShop do that it shows a range of different fears, and I also think it makes it more interesting as there is more to look at and the repetition works quite well together. I thought that black and white made this repetition look more effective as it doesn't distract from the idea of the photo if it was in colour this may in fact happen.

This photo is probably my favourite from this shoot, as I think that by using 12 different photos to create this one photo it has created a successful piece. I originally had the idea to use similar compositions for each photograph as I thought it would be more symmetrical, however I am glad that I did different compositions and angles throughout otherwise I think it would be too similar and this makes it more effective. Next time I would make sure that the exposure on all the photos were of a similar value, as some photos are lighter than others which is a little frustrating.

I also really like this photo, as I think it is very simplistic but still manages to capture the concept that I wanted to. I like the composition of this photo as it is to the left, rather than the centre as that would have been boring in my opinion. I also like this photo in black and white as it simplifies the photo and concentrates on the wording on the paper which is 'thunder'. I also think that the background works well with this photo as it is very basic and does not detract from the purpose of the photo.
